Born in Los Angeles, CA, Chef Babette, the extremely fit and youthful 70-year-old has been a vegan and raw food chef for over two decades. Her Love Ur Age Project is intended to expose health and wellness to individuals who may not otherwise be acquainted with healthier lifestyles due to environmental and economic barriers or simple lack of knowledge. Chef Babette's personal journey to health began after years of suffering from digestive issues, asthma and skin disorders. She soon became a "chemist" in the kitchen and spent years perfecting recipes, which allowed her to eat what she loved without the guilt or associated "dis-eases" and ailments. In 2008, at the height of the recession, she opened her vegan restaurant Stuff I Eat in the underserved community of Inglewood, CA, despite naysayers cautioning her that “the demographic is not right.” But the restaurant took off and continues to thrive, and so has Chef Babette. She’s made countless television and festival appearances over the years, has hosted a cooking show, and has amassed over 134 thousand followers on Instagram thanks to her uplifting and outspoken videos about everything from her impressive workouts to animal and human rights.
